AbstractMost cataracts are related to aging. By age 80, more than half of all Americans either have a cataract or have experienced cataract surgery.Although this editorial does not have any direct relationship to cardiovascular medicine, it may have some applicability with your patients, many of whom may be older rather than younger, and have cardiovascular disease in addition to visual problems perhaps due to cataracts.
