Does Family History Have any Relevance to Clinical Practice in Cardiology?

C. Richard Conti · Clinical Cardiology · 2009

AbstractYears ago it was common to include all aspects of the history in the presentation, including the family history. In more recent times when there are multiple admissions of patients with cardiac symptoms (e.g., chest pain), the details of the present illness and any past cardiovascular illnesses are generally presented in detail, but there is a tendency to pay little attention to the family history and it is often neglected.
