ABSTRACT Hydroxylamines represent a structurally diverse class of compounds encompassing both N‐ and/or O ‐substituted derivatives, each exhibiting distinct chemical reactivity and synthetic utility. Notably, N ‐arylhydroxylamines define a unique branch within the hydroxylamine family serving as key intermediates in redox transformations and as reactive platforms for diverse synthetic elaborations. Guided by the distinctive reactivity and unique features of this class, we propose a novel perspective that unifies synthetic approaches with application‐driven insights, emphasizing the strategic significance of monosubstituted N ‐arylhydroxylamines as versatile building blocks for the construction of complex heterocyclic architectures and a range of valuable organic compounds.
