A fluorescence photomicrograph of a section through the cerebral cortex of a juvenile rat with in utero transfection with a CRISPR‐plasmid that deletes the gene Depdc5. Transfected neurons, which model those seen in focal cortical dysplasia II, are stained with green fluorescent protein and are larger than those transfected with a control plasmid; red staining indicates phosphorylated ribosomal protein 6 (pS6); doubly stained neurons are yellow. Both transfected and nontransfected neurons over‐expresss pS6. (pages 140–146)
