It opens with indications for prenatal and postnatal chromosome analysis, followed by a brief discussion of the applications of fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). It suggests tissue sources for prenatal and postnatal analysis, and closes with a review of numerical and structural chromosome abnormalities.
