Use of FM1‐43 and Other Derivatives to Investigate Neuronal Function

AbstractThis unit describes how to use FM1‐43 and its derivatives to investigate the physiology of synaptic vesicle recycling in neurons. This includes basic protocols for visualizing synaptic vesicle exocytosis and endocytosis and information on more advanced uses of the probes to examine different aspects of the vesicle life cycle.
